A very successful event held at the library in the last school year was the Teddy Sleepover; it was so popular I had to hold 2 events, and an event which the children often ask if it will be repeated.
I invited the children to bring in their soft toys/teddies to the library for a story and sleepover. There was great excitement from the children, including year 6’s, as they labelled their teddies and left them in the library. I then took photographs of the teddies getting up to all sorts of mischief. Playing Scrabble, playing hide and seek, reading stories, scanning books were just a few of the activities.
I then put the photographs into a power point presentation along with speech and thought bubbles. This was presented to the children during praise assembly at the end of the week. It was a great success with the children giggling, laughing and squealing their way through the presentation.

What a brilliant way to learn the library is a fun and friendly place to go
