Book Tweets!

I’ve been using Book Tweets as a form of book review in the school library for a number of years now but don’t know why I haven’t thought of actually tweeting them, before now!

I usually ask the children who have been junior librarians, and are moving on to senior school, to write 2 Book Tweets each for the new librarians who will be taking over from them.  These are usually written up on an open book outline, laminated and displayed in the library.  This year I will be taking it one step further and actually tweeting the children’s Book Tweets with their first name.  They can be viewed @LibrarySH, they are all the children’s words.

    1. I ask children in year 6 (10-11 year olds) to apply for the position of junior librarian. Usually select about 8 children, they are then trained to issue and return books, taking it in turns when they are on duty. They help keep things tidy, assist younger students to find books etc
