Reading Matters Conference

Late blog today – 4.30am start just got home 9.30pm, but well worth it!

Jam packed day: Tom Palmer, Liz Pichon definite highlights of the day.  Reading workshops were lots of fun as well as being really useful. Didn’t know what Bibliotherapy was but do now and can see how it can be put to use with quite a number of reluctant readers.  Rob Smith, creator of The Literacy Shed was brilliant; have used this resource before for writing but hadn’t thought of using it for modelling how to answer AF3, inference skills in reading.  Will be trying it out tomorrow!

Met some really nice people, signed poster and book for the school library and came away with a goody bag, what more could you want!
