This book has to go on my list of all time favourites.
Ralfy is rabbit not like other rabbits; he’s not interested in carrots and lettuce but books!
Yes books, he can’t get enough of them. The only thing is to satisfy his appetite for books and stories he turns to a life of crime, stealing them!
Arthur, who loves books as much as Ralfy, isn’t happy about his favourite books going missing. After finding a clue to the culprit Arthur tells the police, who don’t believe him and so he sets out to investigate the crime himself. He finds Ralfy has a lot in common with him; their love of books. That’s when Arthur introduces Ralfy to the library, after he’s returned the stolen books of course!
This is a lovely story with super illustrations but the theme of the book is the most pleasing to me…what better way to promote libraries with small children than through a picture book. Hopefully this book will encourage children and parents to discover the joy in the multitude of books libraries have to offer.
I can’t wait to read this to the children in our library, I’m sure they’ll love it as much as I do!
