These 2 books are rapidly becoming favourites in our school library but I’m surprised I haven’t seen more about them in UK press. Both have been on the New York Times Bestseller list for quite a while.
Escape from Mr Lemoncello’s Library describes a library any children’s librarian would be envious of! The book is exciting as we travel on the journey with 12 year old Kyle as he tries to escape from the most thrilling, exciting library ever created. You not only read the book but you feel like you are playing the game with the characters. I loved it!
The Forbidden Library is a fantasy adventure which really ‘sucks’ you into the story. I could really imagine this book in my head, even to the finest detail. The plot has many twists and turns which will keep you guessing. By the time I got to the end I didn’t want it to be over , luckily there is a second book out in the series which I am awaiting delivery of!
The children in year 5 and 6 (10-11 year olds) have been really enjoying both books, they have been popular with both boys and girls, with only a few not loving the stories.
